NFL 49 are you at the state capitol in Sacramento elected leaders work to ensure that the rules in law in California's constitution are carried out to make laws to to work on making sure those laws are carried through by everybody that it did they listen to those laws all that work is in one person's hands so that their job here is and this is the people who work here the elected legislators the assemblyman to people that we vote these people are there to to create the law the governor is there to take their ideas and need to decide yes I like it they should go and it should be a law and to make sure that laws in 4th but the US Constitution the California Constitution is a plan for governing people cups to protect our rights and freedoms as Citizens power states and countries constitutions have a few more things in common too beginning with the Preamble or introduction our state Constitution Preamble reeds we the people of the State of California grateful to almighty God for our freedom in order to secure and perpetuate its blessings to establish this constitution what do US Constitution the California Constitution is organized by articles or sections and book constitutions inshore our freedoms as Citizens what's so many similar between these important documents why is it important to have both the federal and the state constitution well the US Constitution outlines the responsibilities of the federal branches of government such as printing money and making agreements with other car the California Constitution outlines the responsibilities of the states three branches of government and two tails issues such as voting education and how the state spends money I was state constitution also. that's what it means to be a citizen of California citizenship includes the Judy's rights and responsibilities of an individual living in a state or country this is citizens of all ages have a responsibility to obey the laws of August 8th we also have the you're getting involved in the community one way for students to get involved is to do exactly what you are doing right now to learn about California's constitution and the laws that affect your life everyday if you have an opportunity Once you turn 18 to register to vote in to vote in every election that comes up whether it be for a local person that's running for your local school board or whether it's for the present in the United States are making decisions that affect the kind of parks that you go to the kind of school lunches that children eat the kind of Transportation whether we're going to be able to get to and from work without sitting in traffic for long periods of time decisions about every aspect of Our Lives
